NOTE: This image is a focus stacked image of "Canon FD 500mm f-8.0 reflex lens and satchel" consisting of 5 images that were merged using Zerene Stacker Version 1.04 Build T2018-07-19-1515 (licensed). As a result, this image underwent digital manipulation which may have included blending, blurring, cloning, and colour and perspective adjustments. As a result of these adjustments, the image content may be slightly different than reality at the points where the images were combined. en: Height of lens: 155 millimetres; height as shown with extended hood: 179 millimetres. Diameter of lens hood: 88 millimetres.

• Purchased this lens in 1980 and have used it quite often, although it does lack somewhat in detail in comparison to other FD lenses.
• Used for astrophotography in the past years attached to a Sony Alpha 7RII with a Novoflex NEX-CAN adapter.

de: Länge des Objektivs: 155mm, mit ausgefahrener Sonnenblende, wie hier, 179mm. Durchmesser der Sonnenblende: 88mm.

• Objektiv wurde angeschafft in 1980 und recht häufig benutzt, auch wenn es in der Detailabbildung gegenüber anderen FD Objektiven etwas abfällt.
• Das Objektiv kam in den vergangenen Jahren wieder zu Ehren für Astroaufnahmen in Verbindung mit dem Sony Alpha 7RII Gehäuse über ein Novoflex NEX-CAN Adapter.

en: The individual images comprising the focus stack were taken with a "FE 55mm F1.8 ZA" lens set to manual mode at ISO 320, shutter speed 1", aperture 9.0 with 10 seconds self-timer on a sturdy tripod to minimise shaking.

• As this lens has an internal focussing system it does not provide a focus ring to manually advance the focus for each image. Instead I carefully advanced four steps (of a total of approx. 100 from closest focus point to infinite) for each image on the distance bar displayed in the camera's viewer.
• The resulting focus stack was then composed with Zerene Stacker.

de: Die Einzelbilder des Focus Stacks wurden mit dem "FE 55mm F1.8 ZA" Objektiv aufgenommen, mit den Einstellungen ISO 320, Belichtungsdauer 1" sowie Blende 9.0 auf einem stabilen Stativ in Verbindung mit 10 Sekunden Selbstauslöser-Vorlauf.

• Da dieses Objektiv intern fokussiert wird, weist es keinen Entferngseinstellring auf, um den Fokuspunkt für jede Aufnahmezu verschieben. Statt dessen habe ich die kamerainterne Anzeige genutzt, die ich für jede Aufnahme vorsichtig um 4 Schritte verschoben habe (von insgesamt circa 100 Schritten vom Nahpunkt bis unendlich).
• Der hier vorliegende Focus Stack wurde mit Zerene Stacker erstellt.
